    First time I tried the food was left under the heat lamp for a long time, plate was too hot to even touch, salmon turned to rubber and was inedible. Tried again the following day and the steak was undercooked and had texture of rubber.

    Now it's 2 years and 4 visits since my previous TripAdvisor review of Rockwell's Sunday buffet. The quality of food and service remains as high as ever, with this time having "Kendra" as our server. The owners/managers are charming and they personally checked in with us about our experience at the time. The atmosphere is busy but it is still calm and relatively quiet, so one can enjoy the sound of the small waterfall in the background while easily carrying on conversation without being drowned out by music like is found in so many other restaurants. The buffet provided a wide range of choices, including some standards and some different ones compared with our several previous visits. Upon reserving for the family of 8, I happened to mention this was to celebrate my 77th birthday, but I really didn't expect the surprise slice of delicious birthday cake presented so artistically by Kendra. We'll be back... again and again, cake or not.

    We attended the Christmas buffet this year & I was very disappointed. It started from the moment we checked in, they asked us to sign the credit card receipt, my husband refused & told them his father in law was picking up the tab, we were seated & another waitress came & asked my husband to sign the credit card receipt, he refused & told her his father in law was paying. The set up of the buffet was difficult to navigate, and the seating arrangements were tight, even though I notified them we had one person in a wheelchair. At the end of the meal, it was difficult to get the bill, when the waitress finally came, they had put the bill through on my husband's credit card, how many times do they have to be told..my husband is NOT paying the bill?! We notified the manager, but all we got was an apology. We will NOT be returning to this establishment again!

    We attended the Christmas Dinner buffet. We were disappointed that there was not more of a festive feel. Our biggest disappointment was that they ran out of turkey by 6 pm. We had to prepay for dinner so they exactly how many were coming. It was to be our year not to have to prepare turkey but did not think it was our year not to have any.
    So it keeps getting better. I called to complain on December 28. I spoke to a manager who said he would check into what happened and get back to me that day. I did not hear back that day nor the next 2 days. He is supposed to be in today now. The cost was to be pre-paid at 5 x $50. My credit card bill came and it was $301.25. My math must be screwy as I get $250.. They did not say anything about extra charges.

    Do not, I repeat do not ever spend a dime in this place. I first handedly witnessed one of the chefs drop a hamburger paddy on the floor and pick it up and put it back on the plate, aswell as going out to smoke in the back and returning to cook food without washing his hands. I also saw the female line cook cooking food while her iphone was on a plate that she then placed food on and served. I used to work here which is why I can tell you the kitchen staff are unsanitary and completely filthy! Their fridges are unorganized and unclean, a lot of expired items they continued to cook with, you are lucky if you ever had a FRESH plate of food.
    It was by far the worst restaurant I have EVER worked in.
    Management is shady and inexperienced which is why they have such a high turnover in front of house staff. Keisha(manager) does not know how to run the place, which is why she hired Gunner to come from apparently Hollywood, to Coquitlam...to try to fix the place up but he knows less on how to run the place than she does.
    Prior to my first serving shift I made it clear to them that I needed a full time schedule which they assured me I would have and then a week into working Keisha would cut my shifts or change the schedule mid-week. Another time she had me scheduled to waitress on a Sunday Brunch and when I came in she told me I was hostessing because her sister wanted to waitress and she couldn't have both of us serving at the same time. That was the last straw for me, as I realized that was really unprofessional and that they were being cheap and trying to keep it within the family, by giving her sister better positions whenever she felt like dropping in instead of someone they hired. Rockwells still hasn't mailed me my last pay check...and I quit over 2 months ago!!
    Ladies! Your better off serving at the Whitespot or Wings across the street, you will be highly disappointed in the unprofessionalism of this place.
    On a positive note...
    The place is going out of business and is being torn down
    in 2018, phew!
